Artist: Tribute to Steve Earle with The Honeytones

Formed more than 25 years ago by keyboard player John Sinkevics and guitarist Charley Honey, The Honeytones have rightly been described as “the deans of Grand Rapids’ pop/rock scene.” Known for their eclectic originals which span rock, pop and blues as well as inventive covers that pay tribute to artists ranging from The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Tom Petty to The Decemberists, Patty Griffin and Wilco, The Honeytones have released two studio albums, “Lane Changes Are Risky” and “Studio Bee.” The Honeytones also have long supported local causes, raising thousands of dollars for Access of West Michigan’s food pantry system for needy families through the band’s long-running Feedback benefit concert that spotlights West Michigan bands. The current lineup features Sinkevics on keyboards and vocals, Honey on guitar and vocals, drummer Tom Taylor, bassist and harmony vocalist Matt Fouts and singer Susan Beerens.
